Sea Pines Company purchased 2600 acres of land surrounding a 1700 acre lake/reservoir in Richmond, VA and began zoning and developing Brandermill, a planned community which would become home to 15,000 people living in 4500 homes and townhomes with amenities, business and retail, churches and schools

1977
Brandermill was named Best Planned Community in America by Better Homes and Gardens magazine and the National Association of Home Builders.

1978
Gary Fenchuk, Harry Frampton, and Roger Perry formed the Brandermill Group and purchased land from the Sea Pines Company that is today the Brandermill community.

1984
Development began on the 2,700 home Woodlake Community, later chosen "Best Community in America" by the 30,000 member Urban Land Institute.

1987
East West expands to Hampton Roads Virginia with Gatling Pointe and Gatling Pointe South which later won a national award for the Best Parade Homes.

Located in the Village of Chester, Stoney Glen opens and offers diversity of affordably priced homes with a neighborhood Swim & Tennis Club, walking trails, and playground.
